Diet planning, built for India
Hit your protein target for less.
DAIT works out how much protein your body needs, builds a week of meals around it, then compares Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart and BigBasket to find the cheapest place to buy every ingredient.
Free to download. No card, no waitlist — open it and see your first week.
The gap
Training is the easy part. The food is where it falls apart.
Most diet apps will happily tell you to eat 130 g of protein a day. None of them tell you that doing it with whey costs about eight times what it costs with soya, or which of the four apps on your phone is selling moong dal cheapest this week.
So the plan survives until the first grocery order, and then quietly stops. DAIT is built the other way round: the price is part of the plan, not an afterthought.
How it works
Set up once. Then it's on repeat.
The four steps below happen once, when you join. After that, DAIT repeats itself — a new week, ready before the old one runs out.
-
01
Tell it about you
Age, height, weight, how active you are, and whether you're losing fat, holding steady or building muscle.
-
02
Get your targets
Daily calories and a protein, carb and fat split, worked out from your body and your goal — not a flat number off a chart.
-
03
Get your week
Seven days of dal, roti, sabzi, eggs and soya, arranged around your veg and non-veg days and a budget you set.
-
04
Buy it in one go
One combined shopping list in real pack sizes, with the cheapest app for each item and a tap through to the cart.
Then it repeats
Log meals as you eat, watch your progress move, and get a fresh week the moment this one's done — nothing to re-enter.
Why it comes out cheaper
100 g of protein costs
₹32 or ₹275.
Same nutrient, different food. DAIT works out what a gram of protein costs in each one, then builds your plan from the cheapest foods first — spending on the pricier ones only when it has to.
Rupees per 100 g of protein, taken from the cheapest listing across Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart and BigBasket. Indicative figures — real prices move weekly and by pincode.
A real plan
A full week of food. ₹827.
Generated for a 30-year-old man, 80 kg, moderately active, losing fat — vegetarian, with non-veg on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Every day hits its calorie and protein target.

One example plan. Yours is built from your own body, goal, budget and the days you eat meat. Prices are estimates from third-party grocery platforms and may differ at checkout.
In the app
Five tabs. That's the whole thing.
Built to be opened for thirty seconds a day, not studied. Here's what each tab actually looks like.
Plan
Your seven days. Swap any meal you don't fancy, or regenerate the whole week when you're bored of it.
Today
Log what you actually ate — search 200+ Indian foods, photograph a plate, or save the things you eat every week.
Progress
Weight against your target over time, plus how much of the plan you genuinely stuck to.
Value
The protein-per-rupee league table, filtered to veg, egg or non-veg. The part people screenshot.
Settings
Veg days, budget, allergies, dislikes, reminder times — and your data, exportable or deletable whenever you want.
Under the hood
Published methods. Indian food data.
Indian Food Composition Tables
Nutrition measured on Indian foods — dal, ragi, bajra, paneer, bhindi — rather than a US database with curry bolted on the side.
The standard energy equation
The formula dietitians use for daily calorie needs, adjusted for your activity level and your goal.
Protein set from bodyweight
The range the research supports for people who train and people losing fat. Not a flat 100 g for everybody.
The engine is checked
The planner runs against 139 automated tests on every change, so the arithmetic behind your week stays correct.
Questions
Before you ask.
Is this medical or dietary advice?
No. DAIT gives general nutrition and budget information. The targets are algorithmic estimates and are not a substitute for a doctor or a registered dietitian — particularly if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, elderly, or managing a medical condition.
Do you sell the groceries?
No. DAIT prices your list and hands you off to the grocery app you already use. The order is placed on your own account, with your own payment method. We never see or store card details.
Does this work if I'm vegetarian?
That's the case it was built for. Indian vegetarian diets tend to run short on protein, and the cheapest fixes — soya, besan, dal, curd — are exactly the ones a price-aware planner finds. You can set which days, if any, you eat egg or meat.
How accurate are the prices?
Treat them as indicative. Grocery prices move weekly and vary by pincode, so the figures on this page are drawn from listings we track rather than a live quote for your address. In the app, your basket is priced closer to the moment you order.
Which cities does it cover?
The app itself works anywhere in India — your targets and your plan don't depend on where you live. Live grocery pricing is up and running in Gurugram, Noida, Lucknow and Prayagraj today, and we're expanding to more cities from there.
What will it cost?
DAIT is free to download and use, with no paywall on the plan or the shopping list today. If that ever changes, everyone already using the app gets a heads-up first.
What happens to my health data?
It's used to compute your targets and your plan, and that's it. You can export or delete everything from inside the app. We hold no payment data at all.
